ABOUT US
Portsmouth City Basketball Club is committed to developing basketball in Portsmouth at all levels. Portsmouth City Basketball Club was re-constituted in the summer of 2008 to amalgmate a number of seperate programmes from within the city.
Portsmouth City Basketball Club now provides a whole range of playing opportunities open to all members of the community. New players are always welcome in every age group.
In July 2009 Portsmouth City Basketball was awarded 3* England Basketball Accreditation as well as Sport England's Clubmark Award.
Portsmouth City Basketball Club has partnerships with Solent Kestrels and Solent Suns Basketball Clubs to provide junior national league opportunities for talented boys and girls respectively. Portsmouth players are encouraged to play at the highest level that they can and we actively put players forward for national league teams who we feel have the talent and dedication. In addition our men's national league provides an opportunity for players exiting the Kestrel's programme to play senior basketball
We have 4 men's teams playing in the Solent League as well as 2 women's teams. We also have junior teams from U12 upwards as well as new girls teams and links with 2 local College Academies.
