CLUB TRAINING SESSIONS
SEASON 10/11
Portsmouth City Basketball Club now provides a whole range of basketball from juniors through local leagues right up to the men’s national league team.
SENIOR TEAMS
Portsmouth City Basketball Club run a number of teams in the national and local leagues. All sessions charge players to take part and all players must register with England Basketball through Portsmouth City Basketball Club. Please ask individual team contacts for costs.
PORTSMOUTH CITY SMUGGLERS - NATIONAL LEAGUE
The Smugglers currently play in Div 3 South of the England National League structure. The teams plays matches from September through to April with home games taking place at the Mountbatten Centre. Training for this team is by invitation only. For a trial please contact Mick Byrne on 07885820829.

A new team for 2010/11 building on the success of basketball academy programmes at Portsmouth and Havant Colleges. Open training sessions. Coaches are Simon Coutaud and Will Stewart. Home games are played on Wednesdays at Portsmouth Grammar School.

PETERSFIELD ROCKETS - LOCAL LEAGUE DIV 3

PORTSMOUTH LADY SMUGGLERS - WOMENS' LOCAL LEAGUE
Portsmouth Lady Smugglers are one of the Club's senior team for female players. The team are entered into the SABA Leagues and play matches throughout the area. JUNIOR TEAMS
Details of Teams and Coaching Sessions for the 2010/11 season. All training starts in September and runs through to the end of July (except when Portsmouth College is closed for exams). Sessions take place every week and include school holidays (except Christmas and Bank Holidays)
All junior sessions are open to new players. We do not have trials and welcome new players of any ability throughout the season. All junior member must register with the club - new members are given 2 weeks to see if they like the club before having to register. Registration for junior members is £5 per player - this registers each player with England Basketball and entitles players to play in competitions.
Each training session costs £3 per player with games and tournaments varying in price. This season we will be organising our own Junior Central Venue League on Friday evenings. Local clubs and teams are being invited to enter U12, U14, U16 and Girls competitions. Portsmouth City teams also enter Sunday tournaments at Solent Kestrels and anything else we hear about.

Parking is available in the STUDENT Car Park to the west of the main building. If the main College building is closed the sportshall can be accessed by walking around the southern end of the sportshall from the Student Car Park around to the door on the Eastern side of the sportshall.
